| What is a
Church Family?
by Carolyn Horrell Mintz
What
is a Church Family? It's a group of people who attend the same church and
worship together, right? Yes, but here at Wells Chapel our Church Family
is much more that that. Our Wells Chapel Church Family is truly a FAMILY.
We love and worship Jesus Christ together. We pray together and for one
another. We love one another in Christian Love and lift each other up.
We study God's Word together and discuss and draw from it. We help one another,
encourage one another, and believe in one another. We know that we are all
human and make mistakes, but that's okay, because here at Wells Chapel we
forgive one another too! One thing our Church Family does really well is
eat together! We love to fellowship with each other. God is the head
of our Church Family. He sits firmly at the head of our table. We
miss members of our Church Family when they miss a service. No one can
fill anyone else's shoes, because each member of our Church is unique. We
respect each other and each individual opinion. And in God's trust we
place our hope for our Church, our family and our future. To God be the
glory! And one other important thing about our Church Family, We always
love to see it grow!
"For we are laborers together
with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building." 1 Corinthians
3:9
